Hi, all. I'm just curious how did mylot users come up with a good topic? Does it need a lot of thinking to have a good one? does it depend on the mood? Any idea? For the past few weeks my mind is empty and I can't even puzzle my thoughts to start a new one so, what I did was I just read other discussions and participated. Love to hear from you guys, your advice will be a big help to boost my mind. Thank you and have a good day.

hello simone! how are you?first of all i would like to congratulate you...hehehe coz i am now seeing smilies on your posts!well for me, usually the topics that i am starting are those things that i have experienced, things that's happening to me or to my friends...things that i think happens to anybody and things that i think most of us have experienced... there are also times that when i am curious and thinks about something and want to ask for others opinion...and sometimes topics just popped up in my mind...but one thing for sure, i didn't drain my brain try to think of a good topic...honestly i can't really say if my topics are good or not...hehehe so what i just do is not to expect anything...i mean if people will respond to my discussion, then i will be thankful and happy, and if my discussion don't get much attention/responses then its still fine with me...hehehe better luck next time!like you, there are also times that i feel like my mind is not working properly... i mean, i can't think of anything...i have an idea but i can't put it in words...during those days, i am still here reading discussions...even if i am not posting much and if there's no topic that came to my mind for a new discussion, what i do is just respond to others and comment back...that way i am still enjoying. having fun and still earning a little!have a nice day my friend!

Hi simone, Nice to see you here with a good discussion. Really for the past one week I get good responses around 30 for every topic I raised here. Its really amazing. I really think about the uniquness in every topic of each and everyone. So I had made up my mind to be unique where it must be general for all the people in the planet to respond and not a repeated one. Also seen many people raising those kinda topic and getting success. Then I think about the relation and psychology of person and it really works out in people. For eg: going back 200 years, partner in life, oldage, .. etc.. I really don't post asking questions and answers.. Mainly I think about the general topic that everyone responds... That really works out in Mylot... Cheers... have a nice day...

This is a good question. I get ideas about discussions at strange times. Sometiems while taking shower, sometimes at night if I find it hard to sleep, sometimes during conversation wih friends. Whenever I get an interesting topic, immediately I save in the drafts of my phone otherwise I will forget.

Hi there, Whenever I come up with a topic I think, "What things can mostly everyone relate to?" Basically, I think of a topic that will catch someone's attention, because again they can relate to it. Don't be too specific with your topic. Although specifics are good, not many people will reply to a topic titled "I have a 1997 Camry. Does anyone else have this same car? Is your car still working good?" Hopefully you get what I mean. Again I have to stress, that when you are coming up with a topic it's one that people can easily relate to, that's how you get a lot of replies. Hope my advice has helped, and if not, then oh well. Happy mylotting! :)

Thank you, Virusextreme. It helps a lot. So, I guess the next time I come with a new one it shouldn't be a close ended question, right? And of course the tittles must be catchy and realistic. Well, seems I have lots of things to do to have a good, interesting, and realistic discussion to start on. Thanks for your advice.

I don't really try to think about it. If something comes to mind, I write it down if I am not on my computer. I try to keep paper and pens with me when I am working for that specific reason. If I am in the middle of a job and I think of something that would be a good discussion topic, maybe something I noticed or wonder about that I see while working, I write it down for later reference.

I always like to talk about things in my daily life, most of the time, the topics that I think of is about things that happen in my daily life, once I see something and experience something interesting, I like to post it up, share and want to see other people's view, I like to do that a lot because I don't go out very much so all I can encounter most of the time is what happens in my daily life.

I get ideas from everyday experiences. When something occurs and I just imagined that this would be a good topic to start, then I would. Sometimes, it comes from existing news that I get from TV or radio. It could also be from a movie that I watched. There are quite a lot of resources that you can get ideas from. But honestly, sometimes I get blocked out mentally.
