Actually quite a few celebrities were here as of late in Minnesota. I am talking about my Celebrity Tomatoes. This is a shot of one I munched on recently. This one was about the size of a baseball. So sweet, juicy, and ohhh so tasty. Ever tried a celebrity tomato? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Where did you get these juicy and tasteful tomatoes from? I just saw your yellow tomatoes and now you got another thats the size of a baseball! Wow! You really have super green fingers. Why not put in to the Guiness Book of World Records? I am sure you will win thumbs up! I don't think anyone can beat you at your super-size tomatoes on this planet. Way to go Granpa!

Hi Blackbriar, it would be interesting to see if yours are as good or as big as Granpa Bob's. Why not send in a photo to let Mylotters judge the winner. I am sure it will be tough fight between you two. Show us some nice shots , please!

I'm not sure if I've ever tried a celebrity tomato before, I may have, I think fresh tomatoes from the garden are so much better than store bought, at least you know where they come from, and cheaper than store bought. We used to garden every year, we had two big gardens, I'm kinda missing it now..haha.

I have about 150 to 200 plants in total. Rather large for a city of 60,000. But I have a large backyard. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Whoa..thats alot of plants, you must have a huge backyard, I think we once planted 20 plants and they were too much for us, alot of tomatoes got wasted because we couldn't pick them fast enough, the next year we only planted half as much..ha.

I don't know the names of too many tomatoes but I do love the big ones that one slice will cover a hamburger or sandwich, those are beef master I think?

Beefsteak I believe you are referring to. This easily covered a standard hamburger bun. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I don't really like tomatoes. I'll eat them in a salad, reluctantly, and I'll use crushed tomatoes to make chili and stuff like that but I don't normally eat them. That does look attractive, though!

Hey You! Oh wow that does look like a good one! Be great at a cookout on a burger . Or be awesome to have on a sandwhich with some good meats and french bread. You know what That would be good with homemade pasta sauce as well . Some many things you could use them for . Not this year I have had none that juicy!

Now that is what I call a celebrity GB. Beautiful... I wish I live near you so that I could at least get one of those tomatoes. I had to go to the market and buy me some the other day. Good planting Grandpa Bob, I hope to be as successful as you are next year.

lol Grandpa Bob...My one neighbor actually stopped having a garden cause he likes my veggies more than his. I don't mind sharing with him since he is always contributing the fertilizer or, should I say, his horses are.

Fresh home grown tomatoes off the vine are the best, thats some good eatin. Don't you wish you could have them all year long like that. After eating them from your garden and then tasting one from the store, there is no taste to them.

Very reason why I don't buy my veggies or fruit from the store cept maybe bananas and grapes. I grow some of my veggies year-round. Warm months outside, cold months in pots in the spare room with grow lights. I got so darn spoiled on homegrown food.

Celebrity is my main tomato crop this year. They are very nice and look pretty as well. My other yellow tomato, besides the pear, is about the size of celebrity tomatoes.

I have never heard of celebrity tomatoes before. I love tomatoes though and I am willing to try or eat any kind of them. I will have to check the next time we get ready to plant some plants, to see fi they have those in Indiana.

I have one growing in my garden that just popped up a few weeks after I transplanted my other tomatoes. It's a free one from last year. I left it being it wasn't bothering anything and it's doing really good. None are ripe as of yet but they will soon be. My husband is eating the tomatoes like apples as of late. I can't yell at him cause he's eating healthy. lol
