You know, we all hear about them, but do we reall appreciate the ride?
Being in the position to make that split second choice of life or death. This pilot did that and saved people.

Can you make a split second choice? was it life or death?
Have to say I admire pilots because they take a lot of responsiblity for their cargo.

As my bf is a pilot, I have ask him that thing too. I am very aware that being a pilot is a risky thing. But the only thing he told me, is not to be worried about him. He was well trained and he knows his responsibilities.
And besides, He loves his job. Everyday flying in the air and enjoying.

It must be frightening to be on a plane that has to do an emergency landing. Pilots are very skilled but sometimes what goes wrong is outside their responsibility. I heard about a plane that was flying from Singapore to Perth. It was an airbus that nearly fell out the sky. The controls went wrong and it had been on autopilot. Luckily the pilot put things right but several people got injured.
