Are we allowed to legislate sexuality?

I don't think the government should be able to, no. But with the current bible-thumping administration, you know they're trying to. If it was up to them, gay people would never be allowed to marry or even have civil unions, abortion and birth control would be illegal, and abstinence-only education taught. Yikes!
