Hello Seekers. I actually liked both math and English, but the English, grammar, and literature classes were my favorite. I also like history very much. I think I just plain love learning! @etavasi (749)

Hello nice question seekers, for me i am more like Math. I like to calculate this and that but then i like English too but not so much. I have bad experience for English lesson, the teacher always scold me until i don't like how she teach me in class haha.. that why i always fail and not so good in English. I agree with you men is mostly good in math and woman is English. This is because from primary, secondary and high school. All teach that teach me English is women and men is teacher for my math. I don't why i think that true.

Well, I am not too good in Math, but I love English...and I'm a man. However, most men I know like math more than the girls I know and girls English, so maybe it is true.

I think from my experience, I need to agree with the statement that men are mostly good in maths while women in English. This is because to be frank, men uses more of their brains in terms of problem solving & hence that's the reason why boys usually top IIT's & other such complicated exams. In school levels, girls tend to get more marks because they will be more dedicated towards studies unlike boys & since English is not that difficult compared to Maths in schools, boys tend to get more marks in Eng. However situation changes when you go for graduation or masters, wherein you will see a majority of girls taking up English courses than boys.
Happy Lotting

sounds interesting, but average students in my previous school most girls or women are good at math and men are likely good at English. i don't know why, but a research conducted by a person, sorry i forgot who he is concluded that women are patient than men, that's why they are good at math. otherwise, men are thinking logically and some cases can be found through English semantic or syntax.

I LOVE Mathematics. Just simply love mathematics and I'm a woman. I always did very well in Maths. I love the subject because it's a very predictable subject. You either get your answers right or wrong. There's no in between or gray areas. And the clues you need to solve a problem is all there. You don't need to do any research outside of the question that is being asked.

I like math a lot more than english because it's more concrete. There's a right and a wrong answer and it's possible to get both. With English, it's so much more up in the air and "airy fairy". You can't really get it "right" or "perfect" so you kinda just guess. I much prefer the rigidity and formulaic methods of math to the expressive non-existent methods of English.
Don't get me wrong though, I like both. But in a school context, I like math SO much more.
