Can't they just leave people alone?

So my mom and I were in the checkout stand and I glanced over at a tabloid. On the front page was a picture of a young woman and words to the effect of "Where she was held" "Why she didn't really escape"
Curious, when I got home I looked her up online and discovered a young girl who was kidnapped 18 years ago and just found this year. A story which hinted that she was tortured for eighteen years.
Hasn't she been through enough? Can't the tabloids leave her be, do they have to make up such stories about this poor gal?

It's the tabloids, what else can you expect? Those magazines are good for nothing but impromptu toilet paper. Don't even get me started on my opinion of the people who write for those rags; I'm just going to say that it's very, very low.

You are giving them FAR to much credit, coolcoder, to say they are "very very low" Scum balls are all they are! ANd you know TV is going to cash in on it too and make a movie out of that theme. Talk about trash prducing trash....

My husband and I were just talking about this last night. I saw that same tabloid. It never ceases to amazes me how people just won't let people heal, rest and thing of the like. That girl as been threw Heck and back and she will continue to go threw it while the papers, radio and TV continues to talk about it.

This is the disadvantage of media where they do every possible move to make someone feel something especially in this case, i read it too and I was thinking of the girl only, She has been through many things so now when she thinks she can breath, she is being followed by media.
