I don't think Friday the 13th is a bad luck.superstitious people just associate it with tragic events that happened with the same number of people involved at the same day.I believe in luck, but I don't think luck is really dependent on a day.bad luck can happen, any time of the week and any day.it doesn't have to be every Friday the 13th.

There's a phrase - "self fulfilling prophecy". Basically it means if you believe something strong enough, directly or indirectly & knowingly or unknowingly, you will cause it to become true. If you think Friday the 13th is unlucky day or you'll be unlucky somehow on that day, or if you believe something bad will happen to you on that day, chances are, bad things will happen to you. Just an example, you wake up one morning & realize it's Friday the 13th. You feel creeped out about it. On your way to work, your mind if filled with worrying about getting through the day & something bad might happen. Your mind is so pre-occupied with those thoughts that you didn't see the traffic light turning red. You run the red light & get stopped by the police & get a ticket. Now your mood for the day is shot even before you get to work. Now not only is it the Friday the 13th, you're angry that you got a traffic ticket. You get to work & your co-worker makes a small mistake. In your already angry mood from getting a ticket, you yell at your co-worker. Your boss hears this. Both of you get called into his office & end up getting into trouble. Now you're even more angry. You got a traffic ticket & got in to trouble at work. On your way home, somebody cuts you off. You honk & try to go around him. He looks out his car window & yells back. Now you're even more angry because it's not enough that you got a traffic ticket first thing in the moring, you got into troble at work, now some stranger is yelling at you for something isn't even your fault. You come home & try to get something eat. But there's nothing to eat in the house. Great!!! You're angry & tired & now hungry & even more angry that you have to either go back out to get something to eat or cook something. While you're pacing back & forth try to decide what to do, your dog keeps getting in your way. That's starting to get really annoying. You kick the dog. He bites you. Can the day get any worse? Are you gonna blame it all on the day being Friday the 13th? You had a bad day. It all started out with you thinking you're gonna have a bad day. It's called self-fulfilling prophecy. Number 13 in itself doesn't mean anything. Friday doesn't mean anything. Friday the 13th doesn't really mean anything. Nothing especially bad anyway.

i am not afraid of the friday the 13th. i consider it as just one of those days.
some people really consider this day as something to think about when it has to do with making a decision for dates like wedding, baptismal or other occasion. if the date falls on friday the 13th they should postpone it.

Hi There, I don't think so that 13 number is unlucky. It is in the mindset of our human beings that 13 is unlucky. It is just a coincidence that bad thing do happen on that number. I myself have a bike having 13 number i didn't find it unlucky.
