So much fun at the dog park

Me and my daughters had a blast and we do not even have a dog! It started out with just a couple pairs of dogs and by the time we left, two hours later, there was like 20 big dogs (2 great dane! 6 huskies might I add). I just love huskies and I think they are so incredibly intelligent so I was just having so much fun watching them and it was like they were in charge of ordering the 'pack'. The coolest part was that with all these big dogs running after each other everywhere in this fenced in 'dog park' not one time did they knock over my 3 or 5 year old.
There was more barking with less dogs then with the 20 of them! I had so much fun now were heading off to Philly and going to visit a city dog park I have been meaning to bring my kids to. Enough thing that I thought was interesting...the smaller dogs were less outgoing then the big dogs but I understand the dog kind of takes on the personality of its owners.

dog park. is that really for dogs. cause we don't have dog park in the philippines. none that i know of. anyways, i love looking at dogs specially if they have good hair and nice built . but i don't go near them. i just usually quietly watch the owner as he guide his dog around the park or any place i get to see the dog being toured. though i like big dogs, but it is good to watch only i don'tlike caring for them. i prefer small dogs.
not too many bringing their out here that often though. so i seldom see cute dogs around the park. you will just get to see two mostly each time.

My ex told me in Turkey you see many stray dogs like you would see stray cats here in the States, here it is more rare to see stray dogs walking around everywhere.
I know I'm not ready for a dog as much as I would love my daughters to have one and they would too and I just am so glad that I have this option for them and so far the people in our area have been very understanding and I think they enjoy watching the kids play with their dogs, its really funny to watch!

that's funny, you like the cats. My neighbor down the street actually has a group of 3 cats that are really cute that come visit us a few times a week. Their trained cats so they do not cause any problems and my kids get to pet them by I have never really been a cat fan. I mean I don't hate them but I am allergic to cats so if I pet them my eyes feel so hurt and itchy, its not the cat's fault.
Whats funny is when my kids get to school I hope to have a dog that I can do my jogging at the park and going for walks because I think it would make me feel safe too because after the kids are asleep I like to go for walks then too.
There was just an incident not long ago with some stray dogs killing an elderly couple here in the U.S. which is something rare the numbers of dog mauling is like 33 a year or something.

oh, that interesting to know that you have lots of dogs in the park in your country. and i think that americans really love dogs for pets. i think here that there are some stray dogs before but now not that much as the government will catch those stray dogs cause some randomly bite people that is why i hardly see now stray dogs. and the dog owners don't let their dogs roam around now by themselves. cause mostly they let their dogs roam and the dogs usually go back to their owners or place when it is time to eat. thankfully no more stray dogs around. but i like stray cats. they are cuter. and we have lots of them also here.

What a nice outing for you and the kids!
I can't take my dogs to a park. Gus wants to beat up every dog there because he's insanely jealous. It's ridiculous because even though he's big for a Boston Terrier, he wouldn't have a chance against the bigger dogs.

oh gosh, don't take em to the city park-lol--I just came back from Philly and man what a difference! The PEOPLE way too overprotective of their puppies, well they were like wallflowers and just stayed on the side but my kids did get to run around with the big dogs, it was fun but not long lasting as here at home.
Yea, I think a lot of dog owners would take offense with your dog barking at theirs but I think this is a natural process, its how dogs communicate (as long as your dog is trained though, not biting)--I see that a dog will show teeth at another dog without biting and kind of intimidate them until to a rank of order is achieved but I also noticed this very thing scared some dog owners, none of the dogs were hurt.
I didn't want to be a intruder since we don't actually have a dog but my daughters just love it and Im not a oversensitive type--if my kids fall down its not reason to fall apart, my kids understand.

I should visit a dog park - with huskies and what-not. My bf and I are hoping to adopt a Siberian Husky or maybe a Saint Bernard in the future. Here in Southern California - they have an adoption place called Gentle Giants. As far as I've seen online - they've got dogs and they definitely value them. Their adoption process is tough though. So I don't know.
I don't like small dogs. They look like big rats.

not a big fan of small dogs either, i grew up with 5 chihuahaus and they were very...vocal and timid.

Probably the big dogs had been trained to be more out going with other people. unlike like the smaller ones, they just in stage of learning and probably prefer to be with their parents or other dogs than other people. thank you for sharing this, dogs are lovely and wow i wish there's a dog park here too
.
