friends competition?

i have had such friends but they were not the winner each time. even i had my share of victories. i am very happy that i don't have any such friends in present. friendship is not competition but it is soething like growing and experiencing together. durng school days most of my firends were my competitors but now i have realised that they are not friends. such people are with you to pick up your traits and outshine you, they have selfish motives.

I have a friend who likes to compete with me every time but I told her once that I am not interested in competing with her but she continues though, she buys every thing I buy and something she will buy a book I would love to have before me. I have to say that I do not like this mentality though.

I think I have, usually I admit defeat. I don't bother to compete with these kind of people. I'm afraid by competing our relationship become strained. I think instead of fighting it much better to help each other. Its not that I am weak that I do not want to compete, but I do not want to enter into war or at least cold war because of insatisfaction

For some reason every single on of my friends seems to be in constant competition with me but now i stopped trying or caring because i never seem to win. Maybe they just want it more. Whatever "it" may be.
