Movie Review: 9

9 - Tim Burton's latest production. - It is a computer animated film that was designed to look like a stop motion picture.

The general story is one of beliefs. 9, the main character of the story woke in a room to discover a lot of ruins and devastation left behind by the war. There were no human survivors. While exploring his surroundings, he discover he was not alone. There were 8 others before him.

This is a tale of exploration of the human soul. How fear, curiosity, thirst for knowledge and adventurism, traits that are evident in all humans are played out individually by each of the robotic characters in the show.
And how the over reliance on machines has created a society of heartless and mindless savagery, war and annihilation.

Worth a watch if you like Tim Burton's style of dark stories.

The movie is produced by Tim Burton. It is a computer animated film that was designed to look like a stop motion picture. As with any Tim Burton's production, expect a dark tale on humanity. Even though this is a cartoon, the theme behind the story is pretty adult. Not advisable to bring young kids to watch it if they are afraid of monsters and scary scenes. I had the honor to catch this show last week. And the few kids that were in the cinema, left early cos some of the scenes were too scary for them. Anyways, on to my review of the show. The general story is one of beliefs. 9, the main character of the story woke in a room to discover a lot of ruins and devastation left behind by the war. There were no human survivors. While exploring his surroundings, he discover he was not alone. There were 8 others before him. Just so that I do not give the plot away, these 9 robotic dolls were created to give balance to what started the war. It was an interesting story. With very nice graphics. There is this magic behind Tim Burton. He seems to be able to bring out the best out of darkness for any stories that he produces. From the Corpse Bride, to Edward Scissorhands... he bring the tale of 9 to a different level.

I think I have a vague idea for Whiteout. Remember seeing a trailer for a movie at the snowy backgrounds. Main actress is the one who acted in Underworld, rite? Gamer is opened already?!? Hmm... must see if I can chio wifey to go watch it!
