The old bait and switch

I realize that site owners need to make profit. That, afterall, it the point of owning the site. But I am getting quite annoyed at the bait and switch tactic that exchanges are using to up the membership. What they do is offer money for click(s) and, I'm guessing, when they reach a threshhold membership they're comfortable with they undergo a policy change and eliminate the pay aspect that drew people in in the first place...Convenient, huh? I can see it happening on occasion when a relative new face misjudges but there's been no fewer than 7 sites (including the notice I received this morning) over the last few months that have undergone this metamorphisis from pay site to credit site. Is there some type of manual out there for future exchange owners on HOW TO RIP OFF YOUR MEMBERSHIP FOR FUN AND PROFIT..? I get involved in exchanges rarely. It looks as though I need give them a bigger berth still! Comments?
