Hi, cyberjaze. In the Harris Carter catalog, there is something like this. It is a fan that allows you to place ice packs on it. While the fan is on, the coldness from the ice packs circulates and makes the fan blow out cool air like an air conditioner does. I have also seen where you can fill water up in an mini air conditioner and it will make it cool just like an air conditioner. I don't think that it has an electrical cord on it either. These are the only two products that I think will work for you.

they are the air coolers, you put water in them. what we do before was we put ice also in them . the air it produces is colder than a fan, but the effect is not that big. if you want the bigger effect you should buy the very big one.

WE have what are known as water coolers.The front part is covered with khus khus and the back part has a tank to store water.There is also a fan behind the khus khus which blows air.As the air after passing through both the water and khus comes out it is considerably cooler than air from fan.Khus is a sort of pleasant smelling vine from plant which also helps in cooling.
