Church donations

Does the church you meet with announce the donations of their members, does this not go contrary with the Lord's teaching rearding offering in secret? How do members offer in your congregation, by passing the plate, through an offering box, or in some other way?

My congregation collects donations by way of monthly contributions, and during the mass they collect by passing the plate, there is also a offering box in the church premises. Every Sunday The total donations collected for the previous week will be announced in the mike. The donations will be used to help and poors and to improve the church.

Passing of plate will take place only during holy mass. The offering box is kept for the people who visit the church during odd hours i.e. during non mass hours.
