Richard Morris has proposed a way to cut college courses by requiring professors to teach more classes. Every time this is proposed professors will point out that they do research and help students. How much time do professors spend working at colleges. When working on my Masters Degree I had a professor who taught a Monday afternoon class (3 cr class) 4pm to 7pm; a Tuesday and Wednesday evening class off Campus and a thursday evening class on campus. He received full salary for this. He also wrote a Grant to teach on a reservation the same classes he was teaching off campus which was located in the same area. For this he was paid his full salary. He had time to do two full time jobs. His research was writing grants to get more money for himself.
To cut college costs let the professors work full time teaching.

I don't think such costs could be cut. If the college thinks that the professor is valuable, they will pay him full salary regardless of how long he teaches, or the professor may leave this college. So long as the college could charge their students with high fees, it would not care about the high costs. The college education is not compulsory. You choose to receive such education for you think you would be rewarded in the future. If the college asks too much from the students, it would lose the attraction to them, which means the end of it is coming soon.

This is some Good thoughts for sure. And ones I think worth debating as well. Considering everyone who ever decides to attend a College has to pay so much to be there anymore, why not make the Teachers have to do a little more for their Salary? Would it really hurt to make them have to teach more in a day or week like School teachers do? Yes, they need to have time for other things that are important, but yet they need to be paid more according to what they do as well. Not just for what or how much they do.
