News is trickling in on who will and will not be making the move across country! Click the link to read the full story. http://www.soapcentral.com/amc/news/2009/0921-moving.php It's been a month-and-a-half since ABC sent shockwaves through the daytime industry by announcing that it was moving production of All My Children from New York to Los Angeles. Would all of the stars agree to move? According to the latest information, at least three big-name stars will remain behind. I don't care where the stars live and how they get to work, as long as my favorites stay on the show! Do you really think a bigger studio will make that much of a difference? Will it even be noticeable to the audience?

Don't know who would agree to move since many have strong ties in NY. Some are wondering if it would be cheaper to produce the show in NY or California with many thinking NY would be cheaper. I'm not so sure I agree with this with the realty market the way it is right now and the still high prices in NY while there have been huge drops in CA. Limited space in NY may also play a part as well as limited new talent and possible higher production costs. It would also probably allow them to give the show a fresh new look with bigger stages and sets.

I can't see how it will make much a difference. And since EVERYTHING is much higher in expense out here in California the salary increass will probably stop, communting to and from work is more costly, living expense, gas, pretty much you name it, is more expensive out here and those coming here are going to be rather shocked. And since they have to keep the same scenery like of the homes, Fusion, Confusion, Chandler mansion etc....who's even going to know they have relocated the show?

You think they are doing it because it is cheaper?

This is such an interesting story to follow. Personally I think it's a dumb move to uproot these actors after all these years. Exactly how long are the ones who stay in NYC going to be happy with the commuting situation? Just what were they thinking.

No but for some reason the peopel in charge think it will. I do not usually pay much attention to the size of the studio. I do not think they should be force to move and the article said they can now stay in New York and commute to Los Angeles. I guess in January when the first episode airs we will fine out who is still with the soap.
