it just pop up to my mind if where is the main location of server who controls the internet, it might be a great risk if that location might be located because terrorist might attack it,,...and it might cause a big breakdown in the world because everything is almost depended on the internet world...maybe it should be a top secret...

Internet is a connection of different computers all around the world.. It's what we called as "WAN" (Wide Area Network).
In our office or at home, we are using the "LAN" (Local Area Network). In order for our computer to connect to other computer around the world we have the "WAN" Connection..
Because there are security on each country, that's why we have internet provider..they are the one that control the security and access of each computer that goes in and out of our country..
As what we know, internet are provided by telephone communication companies...So it means that internet are provided by different ISP(Internet Service Provider) in each country.
I don't really think terrorist can attack all internet service provider at once..it's really is impossible.

Hey,
Well I don't actually think their is a main server of the Internet, I think that it is just made up of thousands of little servers called web hosts or something like that, and they all send information to you, so you can view peoples website. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

The internet was designed from the start to be an unbreakable network, it was designed to withstand terrorist attacks and even war. There is no main server, it's a routed network with thousands of routers interconnecting with each other. The internet was originally designed by the US Department of Defense as a redundant network that can handle damage to any part of it by finding different routes. I would be more concerned of a worm or virus than a terrorist attack. Robert Morris broke most of the internet back in the 80s with his mail worm.
