I release wild packs of dogs with "Call me!" tattooed inside their left ear. It hasn't been overly successful to date, so I'm thinking that next time I might include a phone number as well. Another issue with this approach is that once I release them, I have absolutely no idea where they go? They ARE wild after all. If the dogs aren't available for any reason, then I send out telepathic mind waves!

I'm not sure that anyone noticed that I was gone! Anyway I came back by travelling with one arm casually flung round a passing dolphin. The wind was in the right direction too so that must have speeded things up a bit. Use carrier pigeons? No way - it is still bird season so they may get shot and cooked. I would use a parrot of course.

I inform a friend or 2 if I can, pigeons don't have a chance over here.

There are very few people I'd need to let know so, basically, just a text to my sons - job done.

Dawn- I only have one person's email from here, but so far no one's come snooping for me lol. I suppose if I dropped off the earth there would be a few who would hunt me down. I post on two other social sites, and several from here have found me there. So, I bet they'd email there to make sure I was ok if I stopped with my usual good mornings. So, how are you doing? hello dawn, maybe i can send dogs with bags on their backs, only to carry one mail that says "Cynthia" has a system problem. and then dog comes back and send more mails through out the world, that if he can sneak in to the cargo ships

I have Friends Phone Numbers so I will ring some of them and they pass the word round for me and normally most of my Friends get to know, I also keep in touch till I am back up and running I hope your Friend manages to get it sorted soon Dawn

System problems? Well, if my computer was down, I'd use the lap top. If the server was down, I couldn't let anyone know.

If my computer was not working there would be no way I could be in touch with anyone. That would be such an awful thing to happen from where I'm sitting. It would be like I was left hanging over a cliff on a rope with no-one to pull me up.

I borrow a computer and let everyone know....hope whatever it is gets straightened out soon....snail mail is just so slow!

I would use Twitter and Facebook to notify my friends should there be. E-mailing is a great option, a very fast one too. Carrier pigeons for me too..

Hi dawnald, last time my computer was down, I had my friend who is also on mylot to spread the news and wow, what a response she got, I did the same thing for her when she was too ill to be on her computer, so it works both ways. Tamara

I have a two people on e-mail here, but I'm not here enough to make my absence missed - LOL! I'm not on e-mail enough to even check daily messages! I know, I suck but I've had to take some serious steps to get AWAY from my computer because other things just need to be done.
