Have you ever wonder why others have clearer skin?
I always admire those people who have fair and smooth skin. Even if your eyes, nose or lips are not perfect, as long as you have a healthy skin some how you look great.
Have you ever wonder if there is really a secret behind beautiful and glowing skin skin? Those it have something to do with our routine? Or it is simply in our genes? If its in how a person care for her skin, then why there are people who spent so much time and money caring for skin but still have problems like acnes? We can't say that they don't care for their skin properly, in fact some of them go to dermatologist but still cannot find solution to their skin problem.
What type of skin do you have? Oily? Dry? or Normal?
Have you had skin problems before? Would you care to shre you beauty tips?

i know why others have perfectly smooth, clear skin. i once had it then lost it. fortunately i found out how to get it back.
they say if there is nothing wrong with it: don't fix it. i love reading and came across a lot of beauty tips and even marketing materials that, even to a well-informed person, is quite too much not to follow and get lost in. till i realized my limitations and went back to the very same products i had been using ever since: the almost pure as the breath of an angel products mostly found in the johnson's and johson's line. now, all is well...

Harsh ingredients on certain beauty products usually irritate our skins. It causes dryness and redness then later become pimples... I suggest before using any product better check first if you have alergy to the contains... Strong chemicals usually wont do good to our skin...
Thank you for sharing Ritchelle! Have a nice day always!!!

I have a fairly normal skin. This I think I achieve because of my beauty regimen. In the morning before I go out, I wash my face with my choice of facial cleanser, put toner, moisturizer and top it with sunblock. And in the evening, I clean my face with an astringent first, wash it with cleanser, and then put moisturizer. That has been my daily habit. I read somewhere that when you are in you already in your mid-20s, it is very important that you start applying moisturizer since the collagen production of our skin decreases thus it lessens the elasticity of our skin and eventually causes wrinkles. At 31, mostly say that I look young at my age. :)

I wonder why I did not receive response alert...
Sorry if I am 3 months late...
Nice to hear that you look younger than your age NurseMathilda! Having a wrinkle free skin now a day is hard to achieve for our life is revolving around polutions and stress.... Truly, your beauty regimen really helps. I also believe in moisturizers, they really help in smoothening our skin. And as you said so our collagen production decreases as we aged...
Thank you NurseMathilda! Nice of you to share your regimen!

Genetics have a lot to do with it. I have combination skin, which is not fun. It's mostly oily with a few dry patches. I have acne mostly under control now, but I had so many breakouts over the years (I'm 23) that my face is covered in acne scars, which I cover with makeup.
The regimen I have that keeps it under control is St. Ives Apricot Scrub (blemish and blackhead control) whenever I shower (usually at night), along with Clearasil Pore Cleansing pads (with salicylic acid) and benzoyl peroxide ointment before bed. Then I wash in the morning with Ponds Deep Cleanser & Makeup Remover with Cucumber extract.

At least its under control now. Try to stay away from stress, stress usually the cause of pimples. Consult also a dermatologist, maybe you are using some products that you are alergic on like newly used hair shampoo, make up or soap.
Benzoyl peroxide is good, am using that whenever I saw a pimple which starting to come out.

I have very good skin and for me I think it is pure luck and genetics, I don't do anything to maintain it.
Sometimes I feel guilt when other women lecture me and say it won't stay that way forever and I should be cleansing toning and moisturising and so I try a few products - all the products help. My skin is clear normally and with no lines however the products just seem to make it smoother and brighter.
Also now that I've been eating healthier and drinking lots of water I've noticed my skin has improved as well. I think a drinking enough water will improve most people's skin a great deal.

Sorry for late reply l33tgirl, I did not receive any notification... Anyways as you were saying, I agree genetics really plays an important part in our skin's appearance. But it will also improve our skin more by eating good healthy foods, proper cleansing and healthy lifestyle. And yes staying hydrated gives everyone of us clearer and brighter looks and complexion.
Very well said l33tgirl!
