I never use the FTP software to transfer or receive free download files on my computer, and I never done it before. I just want to know if anyone has experience with it. What is the best FTP software out there is free for download, so I can sign up for it? How to use it, and how can I connect to other FTP to upload and download files. Sincerely thanks!

Well, I can't quite attest for what may be the "best" FTP client out there, but personally I use CoreFTP. It's ugly, yes, but it has a free version (which only only nags you with a splash screen at start up for a few seconds), it works, has most options you could need. It served me well for a good deal of time. There are some other more popular applications like CuteFTP and such though, no idea if that one would fit you better.

I definitely have to check them out myself. I really need some FTP software to serve me on variety of purpose, and hopefully, the one you recommended me will serve me well on this purpose. Thanks for the recommendation.

good to know that. So, people must know the ip address or something else to upload and download stuff from your website?

FTP is not widely used today because of it's unsecure connection however others still use it. There are many ftp clients out there I could recommend to use obe is Filezilla Client software it easy to use.And if you use Firefox as your browser there is an add-on so that you can connect to an FTP server without leaving your browser just search for Fireftp.

great information, I never knew that I could use firefox to connect to FTP. I totally miss that. So, all I need to do just go to firefox add-on, to search for the fireFTP right? and from that browser, I could upload and download files?

Yeah you read it correctly. You can download and upload within Firefox using the add-on Fireftp.
