This is not the way

Why is it when ever a Member starts a Discussion about the Site and asking certain questions do the Discussions get deleted and no notice taken, even when you write to the Site you do not receive an answer
On many occasions, questions have been asked about why we do not get informed on the Site when Discussions are deleted, Members are banned and no one tells them why
Why does no one give an answer to the Questions, the Members are the ones that keep the Site going, that keeps it up and running as well as it is
So why are the Members not entitled to know why they have been banned and why Discussions disappear?
I mean if this one goes I will know why, this should be treated in the sense that us Members deserve the respect to be informed why and what we have done wrong for that step to be taken
There is a Member again that has been banned, has no Idea why, I have never seen them being nasty or out of term, next thing the Discussions deleted and Member has been banned but no saying why
So what do you think? I do not blame you if you do not respond as we all know it will be gone soon

It seems that we can not discuss the things we want changed in my lot. My discussion was deleted saying it was not in the guidelines, it was similar to the one. I had included a letter I wrote to admin.
I feel the same way. I'm totally for admin letting people know what went wrong, what they did, and how long they are suspended or if they are banned. They are left in limbo, not knowing what to do or what they can do.
I do hope that admin changes this rule they have.

I started this because yours was deleted as you had good points there and when I go to reply well it is gone
I am surprised this one is still here

What really gets me is that under the myLot Discussion Guidelines it states under the Don'ts •Start discussions on individual issues you are having with myLot. Please contact myLot via private messages and your issue will be addressed. So that is why they can deleted any such discussion but the they DO NOT address the issues when we PM the issue to them!

Heather you are right of course...Admin does not respond to our letters. SO how do we even know that they read them? We don't know not really. Because they may not want to know what we think about the site...who knows...maybe they read them and laugh at us. They have control as they should, they started the site...but we are the ones that keep it going.
They should respect us enough to at least respond to our letters to them since they say write to them. Not just a form letter either. We get an automatic letter sometimes that they got our letter and will check into it...that's it. I have only got one or two ...maybe of these letters when I have written to them several times.

I have also received a couple of responses where they said they would check into the matter BUT i have never been told what the outcome of their investigation was! I was really angry a couple of years ago when a myLot user hacked in to my personal accounts...even my banking using his myLot ID. that was a fiasco I had to change passwords and account numbers for almost everything by myLot admin never got back to me about what they were doing about the situation!

Hey gabs~ I agree with you! I still don't know why that we
are still being kept in the dark about these decisons that
are being made about people being banned, suspended or
whatever. If someone makes a mistake unknowingly who has
been here for a long amount of time I think that it is up
to mylot admin to at least explain what they have done wrong
instead of just suspending their account or banning them! I
would think that by now they would know the difference between
who is a trouble maker and who might have just made an error
one time! That is the problem here! If we are never told what
we are doing wrong then how are we supposed to correct it and
not do it again?

I have only had cause to contact mylot on one occasion and they were very polite
and responded quickly. I think the reason they do not respond to deleted discussions is because there are just to many of them and usually it's in the original rules that the problem lies. Some times I use a word that is not allowed and as soon as I correct it the discussion goes through. But i don't think I have ever had a discussion deleted. But I also know which subjects to stay away from.

I know people say they have done nothing wrong but the thing is..why would the site ban people for nothing. Even though people think they are fine and not doing anything wrong and their friends think they are fine and not doing anything wrong, I'm sure that somehow, some way they are going against the Guidelines or the TOS, probably repeatedly. I don't know who has been banned in this instance but I do know that a coupleothers who have been banned that I was aware of have asked for it...yet all their mates say they did nothing wrong.

Gabs, you have asked some good questions. Communication is an important quality that helps people to understand each other. I agree that the staff or admin should communicate with the members more. It would be a really good thing.

Whoa, it's been 2 weeks and your discussion is still up! Maybe there's a change going on? ha! ha! ha! I doubt it but hey, we can wish, can't we? I agree with you gabs, it's not right and until mylot associates start to listen, we'll have to deal with it the way it is.

Well it is annoying over on Yuwie when somebody gets locked, but at least they get a message telling them why. Over here, how hard would it be for the site to generate a system message:
Your discussion "place title here" was deleted because it violated guideline "insert guideline here" or
Your account has been suspended for three days because "insert reason here" or even
Your account has been banned because "insert reason here"
