Is it really worth it to strive for millions?

Is it really worth it to strive for alot of money when the most important aspect of life is to be happy. Does alot of money bring true happiness or false happiness? Isnt the true goal in life to be comfortable? We all strive so hard but how many people actually reach the point where they can buy whatever they want?
