does anybody know of any websites where people who want to practice a particular foreign language can arrange a swap with a native speaker of it who wants to learn theirs. i.e. i speak english and if i want to polish up say my erm polish (sorry, inadvertant pun there) i can do this by having a chat half in english half in polish. later you can correct each other which is not something it's very polite to do on normal social sites. think this could be extremely useful if neither is yet in the country they plan to visit.

I am not absolutely clear about what you are asking, but still this site may help you....
No, am not going to put the link here. I am allergic to it!
Just try the name: polyglot-learn-languages.. I call it polyglot only and don't remember the exact address. Got some really interesting people to learn french, Spanish, and what-not from....
Have you heard of this one before? 'Coz it's really really good.
again: find people there and then invite them to your personal messenger. That's the way! Good Luck

OK as long as the pun was inadvertent, cus otherwise I wouldn't believe all your protestations about being allergic to puns...
Would be cool if there were such a site...

Nope, I haven't seen anything like that. You have a great idea though, maybe you should start one if there isn't one already.
