Say hello to our new puppy Biscuit. Isn't she cute. She is a lab mix, with I think possible Saint Bernard, which means she is going to be very big. We have a nice fenced yard, and another lab mix to play with her. Our dogs are inside dogs, with playtime outside, due to the extreme heat, that is best. Do you have a new puppy, or furry friend to share?

I am not a small dog person either. They are cute, and sweet, but I like a big dog.

Congrats on your new puppy. I am curious if you adopted her from a shelter or if she was purchased from a breeder. Labs are great dogs but need a lot of exercise to let out energy. We have a chocolate lab that we adopted from our local shelter 7 years ago. Although we did not know about her past she obviously has been abused at sometime in her life. We made sure we took her training, let her play with other dogs, and most of all let her know she is loved! She is a very smart and loyal dog. She is very shy around strangers and very protective over our children. We adopted her when she was somewhere between 16-24 weeks old. I will never understand how someone could abuse at puppy at that age. I picked her out of the group because she was in the back all alone. She truely needed a friend.

Actually neither. I homeschool my children, and during our yearly evaluation, my evaluator asked me if we wanted a puppy. I said no, but my son insisted on seeing them. They were all so cute, I just could not say no. Our other lab mix, was given to my husband outside of the local winn dixie two years ago. He is kind of a strange dog, and we figured the little girl might help him with some of his personality issues. He loves her dearly, and they get along so well, so far anyway. They are definitely high energy dogs, and we provide lots of fun time.
