President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono asked the entire people of Indonesia on October 2, 2009 up to use batik as an appreciation of the batik itself. "The President delivered to maintain it. It has given assurance that the batik industry will continue to be cultivated in Indonesia".
Meanwhile, Culture and Tourism Jero Wacik added that the government will continue to fight one by one nation's culture. "In 2003, UNESCO has recognized the puppet as a cultural heritage objects can not. We've got the certificate. Then kris also has become the world's cultural heritage of Indonesia. The next one is being submitted now angklung, "said Jero Wacik. Do we need to cultivate our own so as not recognized by other countries?

Well i dont really like using batik, and i only use batik on specail ocasion like wedding ceremony. But now, my office make a plan to make batik a must use uniform on certain days. And the good news is, we got a batik for free from the office. Maybe that is one of my company dedication to increase batik popularity in a way to protect indoniesan culture. Maybe with i more often use batik, i may start to like that kind of dress.

Yes, thought my office some time make unwise and unnecesary policy, but i think for once, this policy is quite good. For our self, and for our country. Making batik as a must have and must use uniform will increase our love to batik, and yes, tommorow all of us must use batik. Are U Ready for work in batik style tommorow?

Yes i'm really agree with you. If we, ourself, can aprreciate with our own product, then it is no wonder that people will claim or product. It is so sad when u hear some one buy cloth in singapore when actually the cloth they buy is made by indonesian people.

I agree with your opinion, we as a nation that has a variety of cultures should be proud of our own products. But which became a problem why Indonesia and Malaysia cannot get along when they are neighboring countries. Should not we be united to build this country.

Yes, this is happen because other country is more apreciating our culture then us. For us as the owner, not many of us, especially the youngster take our culture as a fun thing. So, in time, most of the youngster here dont know that our culture is actually exist, different with the next door country who really apreciate them and even go overboard and patent them.
So lets go, it time for us to aprreciate our own culture, and spreading to the world that we own the culture, and we actually proud owning them and we able to play / use / make them. It will make other countries respect us, and prevent other to clain our culture because they think they know about our culture the our self.
Ok thats it from me.

This is the actual batik made in Indonesia, we do not have proof Malaysia steal our culture, but they buy for resale batik. Many foreign tourists come to the sale of batik in Indonesia, they appreciate our work. Hopefully no longer claim to be the result of our culture to be their culture.
