I do hope that my avatar doesn't frighten you It was taken on a good day when there was a lot of sunshine and sunshine brings happiness so I thought it would be appropriate I have never noticed any that are particularly frightening and if someone hasn't combed their hair well that's not really a problem. After all we are at home here and some of us are probably typing in our pyjamas and slippers

They are using avatar which may reflect their moods or feelings at the time they upload it and some for entertaining purposes. They use avatars to hide their real face some are shy and just protecting their identity. Like you have an avatar of a young boy. Is that your baby. It describes you as fun and playful. I do hope your mind too think like an adult not a childish type.lol..

My 'Avatar' is a picture of the Dark Lord, Revan. Knights Of The Old Republic fans know who Revan is... He is omnipotent in KOTOR, he's charismatic, wise, funny, a military genius and one of the greatest fictional characters ever created. As to the question of why I choose this picture but not my own face... well it's a personal preferance of mine to not show people who I barely know a picture of myself, it honestly means nothing to people who don't know me or can't even see me. I would assume your 'avatar' is not you, but probably your son or daughter... entirely your choice to put an avatar of a baby not yourself. Anyways happy mylotting Yugasini. :)

Hi, Yugasini! I only use my real profile photo in Facebook where most of the people from my friends list are the people that I have met in persons and know of, and I can also control the settings. I don't use my own photo here because there is no privacy in here. It is an open discussion from every corner of the globe and I just want to be a little safe. However, when you mentioned about the ugly and evil looking avatars, sometimes, I think they are somewhat portraying the personalities of the users because if not, why did they pick the scariest looking especially the evil looking ones OR they just want to show something different and make a statement. I don't know. I hope we will find the answers soon.

How about mine? but this is who i am i just can't change my avatar just like that you know. this is how i want to represent myself. i may have some changes in some avatars bu actually it's more relevant into the other avatars that i have posted. this is how i show myself to every one. it's my thing for symbolism here at mylot. have a great day

Hi Yugasini. Some people prefer not to show an actual picture of themselves, so of course they have to choose something else. I find the avatars "interesting." I imagine a person chooses one in keeping with an interest they have. This is just an individual's personal preference. Have a good day. Karen
