Minister Farrakhan will go down as one of the greatest leaders for Black people throughout history. I believe he receives a bum rap. Certainly he said some things he should not have in a way he should not have said them but he is an important part of our culture. He certainly will be on par with Marcus Garvey and with Jesse Jackson. The Nation of Islam helped many prisoners rebuild their lives and provide a place and a santuary for wayward black men who have had a hard time finding their way. He almost singlehandledly rebuilt, stabilized and maintain one of the most imprtant black institutions in America. President Obama should get Farrakhan and the ADL together and see if they can settle their differences after all these years. If you can try to get peace in the middle east between Israel and Palestine, certainly you can start by trying to peace between those two organizations. What do you think should Farrakhan be seen as a hero to Black people and should The Nation of Islam and the ADL try to settle their differencs?
