Spaceinvasion - Our History

Just keeping track of the history of the Klingon Imperial Empire [KNG] so I will never forget... The Beginning - After the collapse of the Romulan Star Empire [RSE] (it got hacked) our leader made a new account and started a new alliance, this time based on the Klingons. Us former members of the [RSE] rushed to join the new alliance. We were offered an honorary position on the high Council. I refused and took part in the military instead. Raiding, War and Peace - Since I still had low points and was inexperienced, I asked my superiors every time I wanted to launch an attack. This was unnecessary. Not long after, we had our first minor war against DCNS who attacked a fellow member. I didn't know what was going on, I just read the alliance messages of the battles. When I got attacked once, I asked that our alliance declare war and attack the person. In response, several powerful members colonized planets and set up attack bases in my home system, crushing the enemy. The planets would end up staying there to this day. Later, the high Council decided we would not go to war over a single attack. Advances - Our alliance, in this period, developed many other off-site resources to aid our battles in game. We created a forum, dedicated to the game and to the Klingon Empire, and we established a presence in the si-master website, a strategy place designed to aid all players in Spaceinvasion. We uploaded info from the galaxy map into this site, where we could keep track of all planets in the universe. We would also later get members to join Xfire, a place where we could chat with each other live to make decisions. Civil War - When the Klingon Empire got involved in a war with a very powerful alliance, the Necrosis Empire, members within the Empire got angry at the high Council for letting something like this happen. They did not support the war and got into arguments with other members. I told them that it was just a game and that we would need to fight some difficult wars to keep it fun. Eventually, they would calm down, and we would resolve our war and establish a temporary cease-fire. Revenge - After some posts in the forum about it, our leader declared war on the alliance that hacked his account and destroyed the [RSE]. He even got a member to break off and spy on said alliance, and to this day we are still at war with them and have two spies in their alliance. As a result of the war, we almost had another civil war, because the members sent messages saying they thought we would be fighting a pointless war, and that our leader was wrongfully sending us to our doom. These messages did not last long, and were replaced with battle reports. Enemies - We would, for some reason, encounter crazy warlords who declared war on us simply because they could. The one-man alliance World Eaters was a bloodthirsty pact, with violent messages written over the page. Another alliance wanted to have a war with us, and this yielded a total of 3 wars. Another enemy, who we could not afford to have a war with, almost pushed one of our more powerful and older members into quitting the game. The member lost his fleet several times and went to great trouble to rebuild it, only to lose it again... Changes - During the start of the wars, we lost a great amount of members. We had about 100 members, but now we are at 60. Many of these were anonymous, unimportant players, however a few old and loyal members from the First, [RSE] went inactive. As a result of this, a list of fallen warriors was made on our page. Later on, two more members would become less active; members I thought would never go. As I would later discover, they left to play another game together, called EVE Online. I had played this before, and although it is a much more impressive game, I could not find there was any meaning in playing it as I find in SpaceInvasion. Our leader, the one who had lost his account in the previous alliance, is now resigning his position and passing it on to another member. Apparently, he can not find the time to be a leader of this alliance anymore; he joined the high Council. He is still active and a participating member. All this happened in about 6 months. __________________________________________________________ -If this information ever got into enemy hands, then our spy operation would definitely be ceased. When this happens, my superiors would most likely discommendate me for posting all this information here- So. What do you think of our little story? Much more meaningful than other games, wouldn't you say? "This alliance deserves an award for most drama in Spaceinvasion." - XKCD, during the first Civil War.

Well, we have to make it all dramatic, since the game itself is not fun. "Battles" don't actually happen, you just get words and numbers and the result of the battle... So we have to do all this stuff to keep it interesting.
