Oh hon, I can't remember a time when things have been this bad at all.
I'm so sorry to hear about your problems too, there is so many of us out there.
I haven't found a job in three months. My bills are all behind, including my gas, telephone, electric. I've been trying like heck to sell anything and everything on Ebay just to get through.
This is by far the worst time of my life, when I should be enjoying it, yeh right. Thank goodness for my two daughters, they've been helping out as much as they can dropping off food all the time, and they've paid some of my bills but I certainly can't and won't allow that to go on.
I have more applications out there than you could imagine, it's very sad, and I don't know where to turn anymore, plus my age is so against me.

I wouldn't say that my husband and I are poor, as we live pay check to pay check. So I feel very fortunate in that respect.
However, his old work truck finally bit the dust the other day. As it was our main source of transportation we are stuck at the moment. To make matters worse we live out in the country so we couldn't even take public transportation to get somewhere, even if we wanted to. Plus my husband needs a vehicle in his line of work. And with having to bring his own tools it would be impossible to take all of it on a bus, if they were to run out here, that is.
If we don't get a vehicle soon he could loose his job. Then we'd be poor for sure. Fortunately he has a couple of people that are willing to give him a ride to and from work. But how long can that last? I hate to say it, but having to rely on others for a ride really sucks. Although I do appreciate their help.
We have been able to sell my car that has been in need of work for almost as long as we've had it. And we just sold my husband's truck. No if we can sell his bike we should have almost about enough to get something that is reliable...I hope!
Keep your fingers crossed!
Happy mylotting!

I have never seen it this bad my whole life. We are out of our savings, and i have just about sold everything that is not nailed down. If things do not start to pick up soon i do not know what we are going to do. My husband has just been getting small jobs here and their. He does construction and we are hoping it starts to pick back up again soon.

We aren't on the street. As long as WE have a roof over our head and can put food on the table I think we are pretty rich. As far as any extras they are pretty much out of the question.

I'm really not that poor. I've got a roof above my head. I have money in a savings account. I've got quite a bit of money in my checkings account and I've got a job. I've got money coming in from online sources as well as a tutoring job on the weekends. I'm really not doing so bad. I know that my life could be a lot worse. My life isn't that bad and I take pride in knowing that I'm doing quite well for being out on my own at such a young age.

I feel I am poor; I work parttime, but I want something fulltime now. I feel I can soon. My kids been out looking for a job and cannot get one. I take where I can. I wish I could get some things, but cannot. I have foodstamps that come in but I wish my mom didn't have to pay for most stuff and enjoy her days. that is a regret. but I feel that there were those who basically turned this country from a land of producers to a land of beggars.

I've been really poor when I was 18ish. I was supporting my mom & I on a minimum wage job full time and school fulltime. SO I can't sya that I"m that poor. BUT we are definatly feeling the pinch here too. We were just scraping by last year, I had to get a part time job so we could get groceries ect. Hubby dislikes me working BUT the bills keep on comming, and everything is going up up up!
My hubby's 3rd cuz I think's son has lost his job. His unemployment insurance is comming to an end and is looking @ loosing his house. It's really sad when unemployment can pay you more than the few jobs that are availiable out there. But with every employer tightening their belts they are starting at lower wages or just plain not hiring.

At the moment I am not doing too badly. I have land issues that if resolved would help me out no end. I should be retired but I have to work. I still have 2 - 3 years left to complete payment on my house and I am still making car payments. I also have out of work children to help so my salary does not go far.
I have become very frugal and grow veggies in my garden and this helps. I cut down on every tig and try to conserve - especially on electricity,
I do not have savings and my pension would be very difficult to manage on without assistance from children. So we are back to the land issue!
Things are hard but I pray that I do not get sick as I am not comprehensively covered with medical insurance.
I really hope that things do get better for you. Many blessings

Pretty poor! I'm working for a stipend, not even a real wage! I'm constantly reminded of the fact that money makes the world go round, and I don't have very much of it! In my spare time, I'm doing my best to pad my measly income with some online earnings. I hope to get out of this rut soon!

Hi moneymommy!
Well I don't consider myself poor.. There are a lot far worse people out there... I have my health, I am able to put clothes on my daughter and feed my family, it might be hard at times but life is all about struggle... There is never anything that one can't handle! Have a nice day!
