Out of the loop with recent games

The first game I played was "Hangman" on and Atari Console. After which, there was that classic pingpong game you attached to a TV. It was my cousin's highschool project that he had brought to the house for me to see. Does anyone here remember Microsoft's Flight Simulator of ages ago? Everything was still green back then. I remember it as the first ever game I played on a PC platform! I came across another unforgettable game when I was already working. "Doom" became an addiction that replaced the quintessential bottle of beer in my hand, at least for a while. After all, it was always the after hour event for a very long time. This was followed by "Warcraft" and "Age of Empires" and other arcade games that didn't have much appeal with me. The most recent games I've played was "Halo I", "Need for Speed II, Underground", and the "Medal of Honor" Series. By some standards these are old games already. It prompts me to ask, what do gamers pick up these days?

The first games I played as a kid were on the original nintendo and on the super nintendo. I believe I played the atari as well, but don't really recall it. I have played an "updated" version of the atari as well as the plug 'n' play games that you have mentioned. My nephew had two of those, and they were basically a box with a joystick. As for the Flight Simulator, I believe my husband and I cleaned out the drawers here in the computer room and found either that game or a game with a similar title as the game "flight simulator" does sound familiar. The first game I remember playing was a sesame street game on the Amega computer. My uncle had this computer for classes as a student, and he found or made or my grandparents bought the game and I had fun playing the game. I kind of wish I knew what it was so that I could find it and play it again though I am sure I Wouldn't get the enjoyment out of it I did as a Tot. The games have definitely changed a great deal in what is only a decade and a half give or take. The games I find myself enjoying now are RPG which is Real Player Games. These games include The Sims series, and The Lego Series, Etc. I've played a few shooting games, Halo being one of them, though I've only "tinkered" on that game really. Now I have played Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter a Tom Clancy game. My husband is an avid gamer and I am starting to be as well.

Yes indeed, how far this games have come. It is quite amazing! The Flight Simulator I mentioned was the first one Microsoft released. The graphics were just literally dots on a green screen. I grab the first copy I found when they released the Centennial of Flight edition. Perhaps I was still yearning for that forgotten time. By the 2001 Centennial of Flight, the graphics were almost for real, heck I could even "fly" around my hometown! Thanks for the response!
