Hi ladym How are you today? Good I hope. My favorite soup is the French Onion Soup. Im not sure if you know what Im talking about. You take a round sourdough bread and hollow it out. Then you pour the soup into that. Now top it off with lots of Monzella Cheese and bake in the oven until the cheese melts. Oh my goodness, you talking about good. My mouth is watering just talking about it. Have a great day and keep smiling...

I know it is so good you just can't help yourself. Isn't it funny how we will punish ourselves to eat something that we know will hurt us later...LOL

I would have to say that chicken soup is my favourite type of soup and next to that would have to be tomato soup. I love adding cheese to tomato soup. Makes it add some more flavour to it. What about you? What are your favourite kinds of soup? Happy MyLotting. -AidanKay.

Hi ladym, due to the hot weather all the year round, people here like to take soup when having meals. Rice is our staple food. Besides some delicious cooked foods like vegetables, sea foods and meats, it’s nice to have soup to be served at the same time. The popular soup we like to take in the hot sunny day is ABC soup It's rather wired to have soup with such name, right?! It’s known as such name may be it’s simple and easy to be prepared I suppose It’s prepared from carrot, potato, tomato, big onion and meat. You could cook it with whatever meat you like. We either use chicken or pork most of the time. Some like to add some other vegetables to it as well. It’s simple but delicious. Yeah, tomato makes the taste of it a bit sour and I like it very much. It would be much yummy if a dash of pepper added to it before having a sip of it. Yeah especially when it’s freshly served. Have a nice day and happy posting!

That is funny we have alphabet soup here too, but it is different here, there are noodles that are shaped like letters of the alphabet, and it is much like a chicken soup but with the letter noodles.

I am a big lover of soups. I love all kinds of soup. I think a good Wisconsin cheddar cheese soup with bacon in it is my favorite, then cream of broccoli a close second, I also love french onion soup but it has to be baked french oniion with all the cheese melteed over the top. I love that, but I don't think I have aever met a soup I didn't like. I don't know if I would like the cold ones though.

Good discussion for the fall season – I prefer home made soups, but do enjoy some that are not. Not in any particular order, but I like: creamy, gourmet potato, with sour cream and a goodly amount of grated cheese in it, chicken noodle, clam chowder, beef stew, chile, and of course, being in the south – chicken tortilla soup – great with fresh made corn bread or fritos And I do still enjoy (from back home) ham and white navy beans, and what has also been called ‘boiled dinner’ (ie; ham, potatoes, carrots and cabbage cooked in the potato water.) Guess that covers a lot, but then who isn’t a soup lover?

Absolutely no competition. I love lentil soup. And chicken soup. And pea soup with ham. Oh, and I used to love Markkloesschensuppe - which is something my German grandmother used to cook. Well, maybe it's not quite such an easy question. I do like soups in general quite a lot.

Campbell's Mushroom Soup. I grew up eating the stuff. It comes from a can, its quick, its easy, and its delicious! We usually just add a pat of butter and a dash of milk. It makes it so much creamier.

I'm a basic Campbell's chicken and noodle soup person. I just love it so much, that when we start getting cold weather, I can eat it every day for lunch. My beau, says that I must like it an awful lot. I guess I am just lucky that he didn't use the word addicted to it. LOL They had a special at Wal-Mart, 4 for $2.00 and I bought two 4 packs. I don't think that it has even been two weeks, and both of the four packs are already gone. I also like tomatoe soup. Although, it isn't my favorite. If I am eating a grilled cheese sandwich, it is the only kind of soup that I like to go with that. And the other combination I like is a peanut butter sandwich with chili. I know that sounds goofy, but I think it is just what they got us used to in school, as kids. And whatever you get accustomed to as a kid, just seems ok as an adult. LOL What about you? What is your favorite soups? I didn't read the other responses to this discussion...I apologize if you have already answered that question, I'll read it after I post this. LOL Have a great day!

Tomato, chicken noodle, there is an Italian Wedding Soup or (Crazy meatball) not sure of the name though. I like potato soup too, the best I've ever had was at a Dennys at 1:00am.

Nido Soup - The Nido soup is made from edible bird nests that are very common in an island here in the Philippines namely El Nido, Palawan. This soup is usually found in Chinese Restaurants. I can't really describe its taste but it is very delicious especially if it comes with an egg in it.:)

I sometimes make my own pea and basil soup. It has peas and basil in it (of course), sauteed oniona nd garlic, carrot and celery. Mix it in with vegetable stock and when it's coked and cooled, blend it in a food blender. It is absolutely beautiful! Other than that I really love canned pumpkin soup and canned tomato soup. Of course I'd prefer homemade soup but there's something so satisfying about a tin of soup and some buttered bread, especially in winter. Cheap, easy and delcious!

Hi ladym, what an interesting discussion about soup. I'm rather partial to Thai Ton Yon soup and still have a jar of paste lurking somewhere, it lasts forever. Simply stir a small amount in hot water and add prawns, tofu, spring onions and mushrooms. It's never quite the same without the tofu though which they don't sell here.
