I don't normally bother making back up copies but I have learned a valuable lesson. Months ago I lost my cellphone to a snatcher and lost all my contact numbers. I am not worried too much about my friends' numbers because I can easily make contacts with them through other means. What disappointed me most was the number of my new acquaintances and business contacts. What a terrible loss, that was. Maybe you are not faced with such dangers but for whatever it's worth, in case anything happens, it will save you the trouble. What do you think?

Yes I do. I have a back up not only for my phone book but pretty much for everything that's in my cellphone. Keeping a back up can really save you troubles. Contents of my phone are very important to me and I can't afford to lose them. It has sentimental values. So I back everything from it. Happy discussions to you. :) shadow41

Yes i have a back up copy of my cellphone contact numbers. My husband did it for me. He had one in the computer and e-mail me another copy. so we're safe and we can check it anywhere just in case we will have a problem with our cellphone and its contact. Thanks honey for patiently and loving doing it for me!

I do have a copy of my contacts in my organizer. This became a habit because of one cellphone of mine that got damaged or when it gets drained of its battery and I need to contact friends or family members.

i have once lost my cellphone but i was glad that i just found it... after that, i realized that writing the names on my notebook from my cellphone's phonebook is very important. so i have now a copy of it.

i always do now. i too had experienced like what u did in the past. i also lost my inexpensive cellphone to a thief. i recalled having someone bump me and maybe that was the time that he got my phone. it was not a very big loss because it was a cheap phone but what was valuable were the contact numbers i had. from then on, i keep a list of my contacts with their respective numbers written on a small notebook. my daughter updates it for me.

I met such a similar situation about 2 months ago. I had to buy a new cellphone for my old phone couldn't work well. Then when I have switched to the new mobile phone, I found the numbers of my friend had been lost and I had no way to recover them. Through the experience, I learned a valuable lesson that we should form the habit of backuping copy of our cellphone's phonebook. You may meet a worse situation if people don't have such a habit.

hello manong05, i don't have any back up copy too in my cellphone's phone book. and i felt so sorry about it and find myself irresponsible for not doing that. i said so, for my cellphone was having a problem lately. it's not performing well and that it's always hanging up. so i brought to someone where i thought can repair it and solve the problem easily. without me knowing that what he did will erase the memory. so happy to have my cellphone back then but when i've learned that the memory was empty i felt sad and negligence about it. now, i am having a hard time recovering some of my friends's and relatives number. and because of this, i start writing the numbers of my friends, and relatives that i was recovered in an address book. i should have done that before.

I just recently bought a cell phone, and doesn't really use it that much as of right now. I only have a few important numbers in it, and only bought the thing for emergency situations.A family member had to twist my arm before I deceded that having a cell was a good idea. No kidding. My arm is sore because of the argument. I now sleep with one eye open.

My cell phone is USB based. I can link it easily to my computer. Even can saved inbox and phone numbers and other important logs to my computer. USB feature on your cellphone or any other feature that will eventually link it to your computer is one feature we should look in buying new cell phone. I also have an address book which I updated all the time.
