Cockatiels

My youngest daughter was given two cockatiels ..poor things look like vultures.I use to raise cockatiels and have never seen them look like these two. They have no feathers at all on their heads or their necks. I need a little advice about them.How do I get them to stop picking? If anyone has any advice for me please share. They are mating as well , we are planning to make them a nest box to see if that might help. I will try just about anything if it will help them.

Hi there Jeanena I think you might have to take them to the Vets as they sound like they have something called Mites which makes them do this But have a look in the Petshop first as I am sure you can get some Spray for it I only know this because I remember my Grandmothers Budgie got this ones (she used to bread them ) I hope you can get the poor things better Hugs to you

Thanks Gabs. I will see what I can get done about looking for something. I know when we had the snakes we had to put some stuff their cages to keep the mites from them.

That is why I said to get something for Mites, just ask at the Pet shop and show a Photo of the Birds and if not sure then ask the Vet
