Responses from New Members.

A couple of weeks ago, I received 62 responses for a discussion which I had started.Nothing new in that. The only new thing was nearly 6 new members responded to that discussion. How do I know it? because the No.1 was mentioned next to their name. I am happy that 6 new members have given their first response to my dicussion.Has something like this happened to anybody else.? Just curious.

It is nice to receive responses from newbies especially those on their maiden response to a discussion. I do receive newbies responses but those with the No.1 besides their names are rare. Maybe they are reluctant to respond to oldies for fear of being snapped. I welcome anyone new or old to support my discussions. Without their support, a discussion is meaningless.

The reason I am surprised was, usually the newbies usually start a discussion,and only after some time, they start responding. So in that way, I was pleasantly surprised when I received such a large number of responses from new members.

Cripes 62 responses on a discussion. I only wish i could get responses like that. A few times I have had new members but not often. Sounds to me like i need to get tips from you on making discussions . The biggest one i have ever had was 15 responses..lol

Of late I have been receiving a lot of responses. Two days back also I received more than 44 responses and still counting.

Just find some interesting topics. The maximum number of members are young people, so find topics which will interest the younger lot. Of course if it is a serious discussion, the oldies will also respond.
The particular discussion for which I got 62 responses was of killing of two baby girls by their mother and grandmother.

I've had this happen a time or two but it's been a very long time since I had loads of responses to any of my discussions. I think many new people check the top of the page when they sign on and see what subjects they may want to respond to that day. For example if I see a craft discussion when I first sign on, I will check it out and see if it's a discussion I can answer. This is what I did when I first joined over 3 years ago.

Thanks for the response carolbee. I am quite happy that some young members responded to my discussion about two weeks back. I will be still happier, if the same persons take a stand on that particular issue.(It is about killing of girl babies)The girl babies will have a much better life in this cruel world.

hi...i didnt mark this thing ..just for one person a few days ago..when i was reading his/her username...i happened to see that he is new user...i wrote welcome to him and felt good for he chose my discussion for writing his first response...well...i congratulate you for getting 6 new users responses on the same day for same discussion

I think,I have proud that there is member who join to response my topic.I don't care that they are new or old member but I apreciate to members who give response seriously,I mean there is member who just comment pickup.but I know,they free to comment anything and I thanks for that.
