Would you rather have a DSLR or a compact?

Nowadays, I see more people carrying a DLSR around the streets for casual purposes. It is an irony since things are getting smaller now, and here we are carrying big DSLR just like 10 years ago with those film cameras.
Are you a big fan of DSLR, or are you like me who prefers point-and-shoot compact cameras?

I've never had a problem with compact digital cameras! And in fact.. I prefer them. They're cuter, more "in style", and seem to fill my needs anyway. I'm not a big-time photographer or anything (although I DO love to take nature photography!) but my Canon Powershot has never failed me at that. Aren't DLSR cameras more expensive, anyway? And have more features? It would be cool to have one, and it's slowly becoming the "in" thing to do (as everyone is trying to channel that inner artist apparently, these days), but I still prefer my compact cameras.

I guess DSLR do fulfill some people's dream of being a pro photographer, trying to channel that inner artist haha!

Like you, I would rather have a compact camera. As much as I like the idea of interchangeable lens and all, I don't like the idea of carrying around a big bulky camera. I'd rather keep it simple and be able to put it in my purse at a moments notice, if needed. And you just can't do that with a DSLR! LOL
Happy mylotting!
