I was just roaming through the new discussion topics and passed 'rat'. For some reason it brought to mind when my ex-husband and I were talking about when he was cooking on Friday Harbor up Alaska way. He told me some scarey stories that made me turn green and nearly rush for the toilet. About co-workers who would spit in the potato salad and worse. I won't go on. But do you have such stories? Let's get gorie! It is nearly Halloween and that is my only reasoning on it. Have you ever seen or heard horror stories about things put in food that is prepared for the public? Dementing, I know. Might be interesting though.

JUst heard from my SIL about something like this happening in TEnn.
in a BIG take out place that one of the workers had peed in the mashed potatoes.
the people eatting them said they sure tasted funny took them to get them test to find out human pee was in the taters.
of course the place is now shut down and not a word of it in the paper.
Just happened my SIL knew the people!

oh my,its a horror but a horrible happening,that is why sometimes i don't like to eat in any open fast food because it is possible that they do something bad inside of the kitchen like what your husband told you about the spitting to the food.

gross. i wonder why people would do such things. i do know i've heard that waiters will do that if you give them a hard way to go
one good reason to be nicer to them. i remember one time years ago when i made my step daughter a sandwich and she shocked me by asking if i'd spit on it
i said NEVER! what would ever make you think that? she said her brothers and sisters some times did that for meaness.
