Practicum Log # 8

It took me almost a week to post this because I have been so sick and tired lately. My body was so sore and I only started to get better Sunday night. Anyway, here's what happened on Wednesday. I went to the class and all the chairs were a wreck. Lately, the jantiors have not been putting them back properly. My teacher and aide were talking to another teacher, so I decided to fix them and started to prepare the students breakfast. It was a little annoying because I had to peel oranges and it stung my fingers a little. When they came back, they said thanks and seemed very pleased with me. After the morning greeting and flag salute, we had a vistor from a local agency. The vistor brought leaves and taught the students how to do leaf rubbings. Some students enjoyed it and some did not. Some of the leaves got broken. I felt a bit embarassed that the students were not on their best behavior, but some were sick and one girl had an ear ache. Next we did groups and rotated. One boy was very cranky. I think he's having issues at home. Next, we had lunch. I noticed, the children have eating faster and cleaner now. At lunch, the janitor hit on me until I pretended to be on my cell phone. It was raining so we couldn't go outside. We stayed inside and danced to music.
