Do you like thunder and lightening?

Hi jugsjugs, I have never liked thunderstorms either, yet my three sons enjoy them. My mother didn't like them either but I'm glad it stopped with me. Blessings.

Thunder used to scare me more than lightning. When I was a little girl I spent the night with my cousin. It stormed that night with thunder and lightning. Everytime the thunder boomed I would put the cover over my head. The lightning didn't scare me. She told me that the thunder wouldn't hurt me, but the lightning could if it struck me. I have always remembered that.

i hate it too. I do not like to see lighting, it makes me afraid. I know that when there is a lightning there is a loud thunder next so I am preparing myself for that loud sound. It hurts my ear.I don't get outside whenever there is a phenomenon like that, I am afraid. When I am out and there is something like that I close my eyes because I am really terrified. Even when I was young I was like that, until now I can't get over it. There are many people hate them both.

I feel same way except I LOVE THUNDER STORMS when I am inside!! I love to hear the spring rain on the roof and the thunder claps in the distance. It is like nature having a tantrum. I just love it! And I think it is grand to be someplace where you can see it all along the horizon. Dramatic and unyeilding. Glorious.

Thunderstorms make me nervous. It's not that I'm scared of the thunder & lightening. It's just that here thunderstorms tend to bring tornadoes with them.

We don't get it really bad just the odd storm,and yes I love it.If it was always happening and people got hurt then I would not like it much,watching a storm out of the window is a favourite thing of mine.

I love thunderstorms as long as am I safe inside. I do not like facing the elements outside.

I do not mind some mild thunder and lightning sometimes but not a whole lto of it. the severe thunder and lightning is what scares me though. It can cause alot of damage and produce lightning strikes to people, poles, buildings, etc.

I am very scared of thunder and lightening. I heard that lightening will affect our eye sight and thunder, if falls anywhere, will straight go down to the earth and a big hole will be formed there as it is made of iron. So I will be wondering whether it will fall on my head. I will close my ears and will be praying God at that time.

I am the opposite of you there. I love thunder and lightning, mostly lightning, but the thunder tells us when to look up, and also how close the storm is. I should have been one of those storm chasers. The car is one of the safest places to be in a lightning storm because the tires ground the electricity.

I dont mind them. I actually enjoy looking at lightning most especially when it seems to be very near. Of course I do fear that it might hit me but when I am indoors I like to watch outside my window. As for the sound of thunder, well, it can be scary at times especially when the sound seem to come from right above my head and the strength of the sound reverberates throughout the land that the whole house seem to shake at its foundation. Again that experience can be very intimidating but in some way or another I appreciate the beauty of it all, they are a part of nature. It is most definitely scary to see and hear thunder and lightning while outdoors. There is the risk that we could get electrocuted. At least indoors, we are in the safety of our homes, if ever the lightning strikes, our appliances will be the first to go and not exactly us.

Hi jugsjugs, Like you, I hate thunders too, and I don't like them mostly when I'm on the road driving. I also don't like the lightning that goes with it, I know it could be dangerous and can kill people. My kids are so scared of them too even when they're inside the house.

I don't mind the thunder either, but lightning?? I'm scared of it especially when I am outside the house. It's quite dangerous and I heard a few people got killed by lightning. Since I don't have any anti lightning sockets, I have to switch off my laptop whenever there is lightning. I remember when we were kids, our parents used to cover our heads each time there were thunder storms, so, I became used to it that sometimes I spontaneously did that and my hubby would be amazed how fast my reaction was.

...i hate thunder and lightening. i am scared of the roaring sound of the thunder and the lightening sparks. It's so dangerous.

I do not like heavy downpours while I am driving. I think it is nice to listen to to sleep. We are not really in stormy season right now.

I don't mind thunder or lightening, what I don't like is really heavy rain - if its raining some place else, I'm fine

Lightning storms can be very beautiful. I don't really fear them. If only I knew how to cature all that power, I would need that light bill.

i'm scared of lightning, i've heard a lot of news about people been strike with lightning, i'm afraid and paranoid of it sometimes. I can't help to think about striked by a lightning, so everytime lightning and thunderstorm came, i really hide inside my house and never try to get out.

I dont mind them. This past summer me and hubby was sitting on his mom's porch during a storm. It was really interesting to watch the lightening and the thunder. I don't driving in the that kind of weather at all. I try to stay out of it if at all possible. Good discussion. Have a nice evening and keep smiling my friend.

Sometimes the thunder and lightning scare me. I don't quite mind it very much as long as I'm indoors. If I'm outdoors and it's happening, sometimes I get paranoid and think that I might get struck by lightning. I mean, hey, it's not impossible. It's happened to some people.
