Like most members mentioned here, pleasant surprises are always welcome.
I remember last year when I was at work, my desk was facing the wall, so, when the lights were suddenly turned off, amazingly I did not scream like I always did
and then suddenly they were people singing 'Happy Birthday' he he... I was stunned for a moment and did not know how to react. It's quite embarrassing, but surprises can be really fun.

Well, that depends on the surprise. I don't think anyone likes to receive a "bad" surprise.
Even some "good" surprises could be better timed. For instance, quite often I don't bother with my appearance while at home. I have a shower in the morning, but quite often get busy and forget to "do" my face and hair. If I am going to receive a "surprise" visitor that day, I would rather be prepared and at least look somewhat presentable. It would make the time more enjoyable for me.
I remember with a lot of joy the surprise birthday party the young people in my study group gave me for my 50th birthday. I had absolutely no idea! They planned everything, invited the family and other friends and put on a really great party. It was amazing! I thought I knew those young people inside out, but I had not the slightest inkling of what they were planning. Now, I'd call that a really fantastically happy surprise!

Hi invisible lady: I think this is a very complicated question becuase you don't have mention what kind of surprises are we talking about. In some cases i found that some of these "surprises" are just disgusting things such as no funny jokes, etc. But if it's something sweet that people know i would like i don't think i'll be offended wit a surprise. In other words, depends of the situation. Have a nice day.

hi invisible lady oh yes I love good surprises and I
am sure most mylotters do too. but mean surprises are
another story, Nobody likes a mean surprise, and those
are the worst as they throw you for a loop,So yes I
would be angry if someone surprised me with say a
bill I did not owe and insisted I did. that would
really tee me off completely.
