Are we allowed to allow our friends to access our account?

My one of the best friends(he is little elder to me)wants to discuss with the mylot members about his personal issue. But as he don't have time and don't want to register with any online sites, he is not ready to register with mylot. He is asking me to allow him to access my mylot account for one day..Only one day..As most of the online sites are not allowing this kind of practice, I think mylot will also not allow this.In such case, are we allowed to discuss the others issue on behalf of them in mylot? The issue is highly sensitive and personal. Is it against the terms of mylot?

This is what we are told in the Ter,sofUse: "When you sign up to become a myLot member, you will also be asked to choose a password. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. You agree not to use the account, username, or password of another member at any time or to disclose your password to any third party. You agree to notify myLot immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or access to your password. You are solely responsible for any and all use of your account" You can discuss your friend's problems but you cannot allow anyone else to use your account. I have seen users banned for doing this : http://www.mylot.com/o/terms.aspx

Thanks for the information. As I know well the terms of mylot in this regard, I did not allow him to access my account, though he used to ask me now and then. BUt I wanted to know whether we are allowed to discuss the issue of the others in mylot. Now it seems from your response that such discussions are allowed..But now I don't like to start the discussion about his issue.I have asked him to create an account with mylot. Now he has agreed for that and he will create the account very soon (of course with my referral link) But unfortunately, even if he is about to open an account, he will not be active in the site after the particular discussion..Anyway, I am going to get one referral for at least two days..I failed in the attempt of getting referrals to mylot..At least I will get one inactive referral now..Thanks for the link and your response to this discussion.

I am so happy to see the progress you are making here my friend! That is a perfect solution for this situation! You will gain a referral and he might enjoy it enough here to be active later on too. He will never lose his account if he keeps logging in occasionally. When he joins he might not have many friends who will notice his discussion so please send me a link to it in a PM and we will try to help him

I do not believe that they do allow this but there is nothing saying that you can not discuss the Issue with your Friend giving you the Details and seeing what People have responded with

Yes..WE are not allowed to share our account with the others. That's why I refused his requested at the very beginning..But I had the doubt as , are we allowed to start the discussion about an issue which is not ours, with the permission of the concerned person.Thought it is allowed, I don't like to start here as it may create additional problems while leaving comments.Hence I am not going to start the discussion on behalf of him also..Thanks for your response to this discussion.

You can discuss the issues of your friends, if they have no objection. It is wrong to allow your friend to access your online accounts including mylot . There will be all possibilities to misuse the same. If your friend really wanted to discuss his issues in any online sites, he wshould find five minutes to register with any onlyline subjects, which are allowing the discussions.

I have asked my him to create a account at least to discuss the particular issue as like you all are suggesting. Also I don't like to start a discussion about his personal issue even if he is permitting me to do so.If we start the discussion, we should leave some comments to the responses if we get.It is not possible to leave comments for the responses about an issue which is not related to me. I hope he will create one account very soon..Also I wish this as I am about to get at least one referrals for few days, though he is not going to active with the site..I am tired of searing for referrals in my down line of mylot. Thanks for your response to this discussion.

Unfortunately, you cannot allow your friend to have access your mylot account. The mylot rules state that two people cannot share one account. You can share information with her about mylot and your friend can definitely open his own account, but he cannot access your account. If you're really not sure about something, you can always go back read the terms and such. It never hurts.

I checked the site terms many times and understood the condition about the sharing of our account..SO I have asked him to create one account if he wants to discuss something with the mylot members.I hope he will do create the account within this week..Also I have told him as that I am not going to start the discussion regarding his issue. He will create and will be active for two or three days only in this site..As I don't have any referral in this site, now I am going to get one inactive referral at least to mylot..If I have little luck, he may be active here on seeing the interesting discussions. Thanks for your response to this discussion.

Nope, no matter what, I didn't want others to check on my account. There are lots of other out let in the net where we can discuss personal issues with a friend. Or if its really that personal, then i would be best to talk to the him/her in person or over the phone.

Yes..I have decided to not to start the discussion here on behalf of him.I feel discussing with the mylot friend via PM is better in this..If I start the discussion here, I need to leave some comments also..But I may not able to reflect exactly what my friend wants to say..Why should we choose the risky option? He is not ready to express the issue here at his own..He is asking me to start the discussion, due to some discussion.Anyway, it may take few more days to take a final decision in this..Thanks for your response.
