Danvers High School Students in the US latched on to the usage of "Meep" as an expression, and the idea caught on with students to the point that it's use was so widespread within the school,The Head and the Board decided action had to be taken to curb the use of of this 4 letter word, and issued a Ban,contacting Parents by phone and email to advise them this sort of thing wouldn't be tolerated...Apparently,they're even threatening to bring the police in for persistent offenders..
("MEEP" for those of you not on top of pop culture is mostly associated with the Roadrunner cartoon (Meep Meep!) or the Muppet Character "Beaker",the word being his only utterance..)Students interviewed claim it has no association with these characters. What do You think of the Head and the school board's actions in this case? Over reaction? Sense of Humour Failure? Get a Grip?

I think the Head & School board really need to get a life! Would they prefer the students to use the 4-letter words that we hear from school children here?? Imagine it... "You are chanrged that, on or around 11am on 16th November, you did use the word "Meep" with the intention of causing grievous bodily mirth. How do you plead?" I think the students & parents should tell them to "Meep off!!"

Journos emailing the Head about this and mentioning "Meep" were being told it was being referred to the Police!

They really took this overboard! I thought that my school was strict! Nothing like this has ever happened at my school. This seems like it'd be a good local newspaper feed, though. You might want to milk it for all it's worth and take it to the local press, though. It could really solve things.
