Did you ever go to look something up on the computer and by the time it booted up and you got on the interweb and everything, you forgot what you wanted to look up in the first place? I'm not sure what I wanted to look up just now, but at least it gave me something to post about. And I just know I'll remember what it was when I shut down the computer.
So, should I shut it down, then remember what it was, only to maybe forget it again? Anything you want me to look up while I'm here?

LOL! I'm not sure it has happened with the computer, but I am always heading somewhere in the house just to forget where I was going and what for. I don't know whether it's old age or fibro. It seems to be common among people of all ages though.

Lol yes I have done that loads of times and it is very frustrating, when I do remember I can not be bothered to boot the Laptop up again lol, knowing me I would probably forget again anyway by the time I got it all up and running again

Well, you are far from the only one who has ever experienced something like this, and I am sure there will be many of us experience this from time to time for sure. I think sometimes it could be our mind gets sidetracked and thinks of other things to where you begin to forget to only later go ... "I was supposed to log in and pay a Bill, etc. so then you have to run back to your computer hoping you still remember what you need to do and then hope that is all you needed.

I do things like more and more often which is a real concern for me! I often make a mental note to do something and within seconds I forget all about it! I feel so angry with myself when that happens. In regards to the computer my husband will often ask me to check or download something for him and I will reassure him it will be done as soon as I’ve finished what I’m doing and then...I’ll shut down my laptop and he’ll look at me as if to say, “I can’t believe you forgot again?!” In my case it may well old age, I think...(LOL)

See, that's where good old-fashioned books have the advantage... you don't have to wait for them to boot up, etc., you just pick one up and flip through to the page you want.
