A Buddhist monk has been sentenced to 10 months in jail for taking an unauthorised loan of $50,000 from his Ren Ci Foundation. This foundation has been in high profile money raising events over the years to raise funds for the needy. To think that a religious foundation could stoop to such a level to extort money for its own personal use. If you ask me, 10 months jail is too light a sentence for betraying the public's trust. What sickens me even more is...he is now out on bail...now where did he get the money for that?!
