As a college student looking back to my high school years, I often wonder what kind of things would have helped me be a better college and graduate student. I had a rough transition from high school to college because of several things. I took a lot of college level and honors classes in high school, but we were never taught basic things like grammar, time management, or study skills. Studying is much harder in college and I was honestly not prepared for it, which made college that much harder. With the crazy amounts of material covered in college classes, it would be very easy to get overwhelmed without the right study skills. Also, time management should be taught in high school for many reasons. When I went off to college, it was my first time away from my parents and I was the one who controlled what I did. I could choose to go to class, study, go out with friends, watch movies, or whatever else. I really did not know how to manage my time and I quickly fell behind. It is essential for students to learn to manage their time in order to be successful in school. So what do you think? What are things that you think should be done for high school students in preparation for college?

To prepare students for college, they need to undergo and learn as much as possible about mathematics, science, and the english language. These are the three main components of the subjects in college. The others can be learned. But those students who have experience in many areas of life will surely have an advantage in college. I hope that you are doing well in your college life.
