canola vs. olive oil

ok, i got a nice italian recipe online that requires to saute onions and garlic in olive oil but all i have is canola oil, will it work?

peanut oil?..uumm i havent' tried that but i thinks it also add a nice flavor..thanks i try to consider it when i going to store later on, have peanut oil and olive oil..

Yes it will work but, Olive oil is sooooo much better.

Maybe it will work, but one thing's for sure... it won't be as Italian as if you used olive oil! Also I think the flash point & smoke point will be different. At the sort of temperatures needed to saute, either oil will start to form trans fats, which are so very unhealthy. I'd use coconut oil myself.
