Drying Sneakers?

I know you can wash your sneakers. But can you dry them in a dryer? I was thinking because of the busy weekend they are allowing us to wear sneakers to work. But mine are in a serious need of a wash though with it being so late in the day & not being very hot out I doubt they'd dry in time naturally.

We've dried tennis shoes in the dryer before, but as others have said it does seem to beat them up a little bit, so I wouldn't recommend doing this to a newer pair. If all else fails, the next time you're in a rush take a hair dryer to the inside of them to get them to dry faster, or place a wash cloth in them.

it really depends on what they're made of..a lot of plastic, you'd want to dry it on top of the dryer, using a hair dryer to speed it if you must.
regular canvas sneaks i just put on air dry and throw them in,but you'll want to place a chair against the door because sometimes they'll kick it open.

I wouldn't put them in the dryer, they may shrink. When I wore them I would wash them then stuff them with newspaper and put them on the floor registers in the winter or the sun in the summer.
You can put them in the dryer but it really puts a lot of wear on them. If you decide to, stick a couple of dry towels in there with them to help them get dry sooner and keep them from getting so beaten up!

I know the feeling. The only thing that I can suggest to you is that you air dry them. Put the sneakers in a room and turn an electric heater on if you have one. If not, try putting the sneakers in a pillow case in the dryer. Wrap the pillow case tight.. Try to see if this will work.. I hope that you can get them dried in time. I have been through the same thing, trying to dry my shoes before the next day or so. Shoes take so much longer to dry. I remember my shoes taking about three days to completely dry. With it not being so hot, the shoes will take longer.

You can actually dry your sneakers in the dryer. I have done it in the past. The only bad point is that while your dryier is working with the sneakers on it will become super noisy, so sometimes I just prefer to hang my sneakers in the terrace if the day is sunny :)
