Wow Yugasini, you know a whole lot more than me relating to software. :) I am imppressed. :) As to downloading, I am sure others will guide you better. There are some free wares, and some are not. Some are offered only for a short period. I have a hardware engineer who guides me about these things. We also buy all our computer related material from one shop, so the shopkeeper is always open to guide about such things. If you cannot get anybody here to guide you, then may be, you can approach such people. And yes, you are not violating mylot rules and regulations. :)

You know my friend. There is no sure that a downloading websites is safe. Because we cannot avoid any kind of virus through downloading. We don't know about the software if it is a virus carrier or not. But the best thing is you have anti-virus in your computer to prevent viruses to infect your files... Be aware of what you are downloading...

I think its a utility service to save time,and may be its safe.however you need to have best antivirus installed on your pc including spyware & firewall before try it. or else you should get some more information about this site...!

According to Norton site safety check the site is safe. However I'm not too sure of the accuracy of that. Personally I use Avast antivirus on my own computer but I'm borrowing my dad's laptop at the moment. I don't really like Norton. Um I recognize a lot of the software on that site like CCleaner, Gimp, Spybot S&D, UTorrent but I would recommend going to the official site of those to download their product from. That is the safest way.

I am not sure about what you said. if you have doubts about the application dont dare. You never know what is installed through the back door. it seems you are not sure about the product so give it a break until you find the real truth about it.

When you examine the softwhere on the site are there any warnings to be found? Do they say anywhere "no malwhere? Is there a charge? Before downloading from anywhere, read everything carefully. Scan your computer for vriouses and regurally defrag and use disc clean up on your hard drive. Check with windows update to ensure your computer has the latest in maleware protection. Check with other sites such as download.com and see if there are any differances between what they show, and what this website shows. Be cascious of programs designed to run in the background they can slow computer's down or slowly release virouses. seeing this is a brand new site for you, run a full virous scan, disc clean up, and defrag your hard drive. All of the above tools (except your anti-virous program) will be located in your system tools. Your anti-virous program will have its own folder. Also before running the scan, be sure that the program is up-to-date.
