It makes me cringe!

Is there something you see people doing that makes you cringe for their dignity?
My mother always instilled in me that you do NOT go out of the house in slippers or any kind of bathrobe, etc. She thought it showed a lack of dignity and indicated slovenlyness. This has stuck with me and whenever I see the woman across the street on her front doorstep in a bathrobe sitting and smoking I automatically think "sloven" - even though I know she's an okay person, the thought just comes into my head.
Is there something like that which makes you react automatically?
