I've just had a sale leaflet dropped through my door and, so much of the stuff on it is in "Faux leather". How pretentious is that term?? Do they think that by sticking a French word in it, we will all fail to realise that its basically a posh way of saying plastic? Are there other similar terms that get up your nose?

Hi wizzywig, I take it that's the new one for 'leather like' is it? I'll have to go with the McDonalds rehydrated droppings being classified as food.

So, THAT's what its made of?? Didnt I read somewhere that there's more nutritional value in the cardboard fries boxes? (That's not libelous because I'm not saying there IS...)

Another name for it is pleather. I kinda like the term pleather. Many fake leathers are so real looking you would think they are real.
