Monitor Lizard

No comment except no thanks. I am sure it is a delicacy but not for me. I can’t eat ‘different’ things like that, call me unadventurous but that is how I am. Perhaps it is because my mother tried to make me eat tripe and snails as I was growing up; she even tried to trick me by telling me that the tripe soup was chicken. I was only five but I knew chicken does not smell that bad! I don’t doubt that monitor lizard is good for your health but I am way too fussy...(LOL)

I was in grade school when a neighbor caught a monitor lizard in his backyard. After that he cooked it and we kids had a taste test. It was good. After several years I worked in an environmental organization and sad to know the monitor lizards in the country are somehow a threatened species. Farmers have noted a decline in monitor lizard sightings in their places or farms.

Hello we donot have this stuff here, i have never eaten lizard meat, will never try too, but here some tribals eat them.. Thanks for sharing. Welcome always. Cheers. Professor
