Proof! "Real Men" DO Cry!

It's a very odd thing in our American culture (though ours may not be the sole culture which believes this) that men are somehow burdened with the mistaken notion that if you cry, at least in public, then you're "unmanned." That you're "womanish," "not a "'real man.'" I have just two words to knock that silly idea out of the ball park, for what should be forever. The words? They happen to be the shortest verse in the entire collection of books, poems & other writings we call "The Bible," & they are: "Jesus wept." Who wants to be the first to dare tell everyone He is not a "real man?" Anybody? Step right up.... (I hear crickets....) Let bad traditions die & be forgotten. And now, go read your Bible & find out what it took to make the only perfect Man ever born, weep. Love in Christ, Maggiepie...sinner

Well good on him! And JUST where are the guys?? I wish at least some would stop hiding & admit they're here, reading! You can't tell me, out of the thousands of people in this forum, that a lot of guys aren't here! So come on, brothers! Step up! Be a man, & admit you are here! I promise we'll be gentle. I know alot of men do not like to cry because they think it is too feminine to do so. I think a man is very strong and pure if they do shed a tear. It shows that they are not afraid to cry and show emotions.

See? See? Yet more proof people need to read their Bibles! Next time you run into that attitude, you just tell them what I said! (And try asking them why they think they're more manly than Jesus...! I agree with you on this one that it takes a real man to cry in public. I don't think that there is a problem with men crying and you know what I have to say that Jesus is a real man, for weeping. Why not show what you are feeling, I tell that to my husband all the time and he's a real man too so there.
